Yuval Medina is a composer and pianist working at the intersection of music with dance, film, and the concert stage. His music is driven by narrative, emotional honesty, and a belief in the power of art to connect us to one another across divides. He is the founder of Ex Corde, a composer-led nonprofit presenting original interdisciplinary concerts in New York City.
His orchestral rescore of BBC's Frozen Planet II has been viewed over 2.8 million times on YouTube. His music was recently featured by Vanity Fair during the 2025 Oscars ceremony, and he has received awards from Tribeca New Music, the New York Youth Symphony, and the American Pops Orchestra. Yuval holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Duke University and is completing his M.M. in Composition at the Manhattan School of Music.
